FREE TRANCE MIXES
The new trance for nations mix seems pretty good. I am trying to work the sounds of Lamat and Smoosh into the new mix as well as the psytrance vibes of Aquila. The Please Recycle EP on Ectoplazm is a great collection of psytrance and goa from Dacru records. Dacru records are quite happy for their music to be featured in the free dj mixes.
TRANCE
Sacred Technology by Laughing Buddha is full of quality psytrance sounds. The new Planet B.E.N compilation features a more neo-industrial sound. It features quality sounds from X-dream and Organic noise. The Timeliner track Wet Hotpants from Aardvark features similar crunchy guitar sounds.
RECORDING THE NEW DJ MIX
The new mix is still in production. Alterations have been made to the free dj mixes track listing to create a more fluid transitions. More time in the studio is required to add the final touches. The breakbeat track Europa is now mixed with the Recurrent Dawn by Trinodia which is in the mix with psytrance in into the Brain Forest from Zetan Spore. A recording session is scheduled for early this summer. The rest of the mix is still in development, but overall the track listing remains unchanged.
MODIBA PUBLISHING
In 2010 Modiba publishing granted permission for the use of global fusion tracks by Vieux Farka Toure, Abjeez, Chico Mann and Uniao Black in a house mix. The music was featured in a reworking of the dub step mix and the breakbeat remix. Free global music samplers are available from the Modiba website. A free download to accompany the release of the film Fambul Tok is available. The Eccodek Trance Canada mix of Wi Na Wan Fambul is a mellow deep house track. It is featured in a free acid house mix sampler.
